Disabling/Modifying the GPS Signal
Does anyone know how to disable or modify the GPS transponder, so that it will only allow 911 Emergency Service to track the phone?

The V180 does not have GPS.
GSM carriers like Cingular use tower-based tracking where the phone is only passively involved.
Only CDMA carriers like Sprint and Verizon use GPS technology in the phone itself for location.
