This update to the still unreleased 6600 seems to fix up all of the bugs of the 6600 that i have read about in reviews namely the ability to switch easily between the camera modes, video or still. The upgrade of ram and the high speed EDGE is a great addition to see as well. There is also rumors that this phone has a speedier more efficient processor. I can't wait till April to come around when this phone comes out. I really believe this phone will be carried by ATTWS because of the EDGE feature would only be usable on their network. If not i gonna have to get one and get it unlocked to go over to ATT cause EDGE sounds really great.

Hey crazycraig07

ATT isn't the only company that has EDGE, CIngular also has launched EDGE in our Indiana markets and plan to expand it through out our other markets this year.

I was stating what i knew at the moment. I knew that cingular was emplimenting EDGE as well but i didn't know when you were going to do it nationwide. Also, I dont think that Cingular will have it nationwide by April when this phone is supposed to hit the market.

assuming Cingular does not take over AT&T as has come out in the news lately..doesn't really matter since both have EDGE...

can't wait to upgrade...it's been a while..any estimated price?

Me neither.

Another hopeless case of unrequited phone lust.

...At least there's more chance for me than with the non-US 6600. This phone and I will eventually be sharing a continent, if not an income bracket.
