If you go to www.walmart.com

then go to music....when the cd's are listed and you select one of them...it gives the sound track list..with 30 second clips of the song...if you right click on the link instead of clicking it to listen to it...then u are able to save target as....do not save it as an mp3..........in the file name box..you can keep the name already listed but make sure to add ".mid"
this will save the file as a midi sequence!!!

1. Save ringtone to your desktop as a mid.

2. I use yahoo email, so I go into my yahoo account and attach the ringtone to the email

3. Make sure and write something in the "subject" and the "body" of your email, otherwise it won't go through.

3. Send the email to yournumber@vzwpix.com.

4. Once you recieve the email on your phone, view it, go to "options" and press "save sound". This will add it to your ringtones.

Hope this helps. 🙂

How are you guys saving these files?
I tried right clicking on it, and adding .mid, but it does not work.
Any ideas?

You have to save it as a .mid on your initial save to your PC.

Here's what I did, and it works fine: Saved a tone from Walmart to my desktop (changing it to .mid). Then I uploaded it to my INBOX in Verizon Pixplace. Then I created a message, attached the mid. file from my pixplace INBOX, and emailed it directly to my 10-digit #. It comes in my phone as a pix message. I press open/read, and it plays a portion, then I save the whole file to my phone, and it's set to use as a ringer. Hope this helps.

No doubt...Good searching..
So with that in mind..i went to www.fye.com
the selection here is much greater..only thing is that they are not in mp3 format....so we need someone with a converter to convert the songs to mp3, then we would be able to send them to our phones....these songs are perfect cause they are all 30 seconds.....
DOES ANYONE HAVE A CONVERSION PROGRAM???!!!???

hey, I haven't gotten a chance to get the cable as yet, but I was wondering if it was possible to e-mail tones to this phone as an attachment or is there any other way to get tones with out having to use the cable (other than GIN)?

Thanks

OK - before I go through this, make sure you have registered at VZWPIX.COM

Save Target As (You should have saved an MP3 file)
Rename the file as a .mid
Then go to your e-mail (PREFERABLE YAHOO.COM)
Add the file as an attachment

**MAKE SURE YOU PUT SOMETHING/ANYTHING in for the subject and body**

Then the ringtone will come as a picture message. When you open it, the song should play. OPTIONS -> SAVE SOUND

There.
