how do i use ringtones?

i just got my motorola v400 yesterday and i have no clue how to find the ringtones geiven with the phonei went to menu, multimedia,soiunds, and then i found those ringotnes which really done even sound like some. are they really the onli ringtones on the phone or is there another way? please respond a.s.a.p. thanks u in advance for ure help

Yep, those are the sounds available for ringtones. Not just for someone calling, but they can signify incoming text messages, voicemail, alarms, and so forth which can all be changed.
Ok, two ways to change your main ringtone. One way is from the sounds list, just highlight the sound in the list you want to use, click the top center button to get the menu up, then choose "Apply as Ring Tone" from the list. That will set the sound you highlighted as the regular calls ringtone for the current ring profile (soft, loud, or whichever you're using).
The other way is better if not quite as simple, which lets you access a lot more ringtone options. Press the up arrow on the directional pad to access ring styles. Then the left and right arrows will...
