V400 Flex (to Return Crippled Features)

I have Cingular V400 with flex GS9V400CIN02NA0E0 and software TRIPLETS_G_0B.08.9FR

The phone works OK but I'd like to bring back some features that I believe Cingular has crippled, such as ability to view/connect to available networks and the engineering menu.

1. Is this possible by just flexing. Not really interested in V600 flash but can do if this is the only way

2. Where could I obtain such a flex?

3. Does anybody have Cingular flex so I could return the phone back to original if I have to return the phone for repairs/warranty?

TIA,

Jarmo

OK, it wasn't that bad and looks like Cingular flex doesn't remove any important functionality, just hides them. For the ultimate guide see:

Excellent site, found it via howardforums!

To enable manual network search and attach (important if you travel abroad, some "OK" networks just won't work so you are screwed if you attach to one of them): Edit seem file 0032_0001:
offset 02 bit 1 to 0 to unblock "special" features
offset 54 bit 7 to 0 to unblock advanced network menus

upload seem file to phone, restart and go.

While at it I then edited the menu files (mma_ucp and mma_dcp) and replaced the non-working SIM Applications menu with FEM (engineering applications menu). You also need to edit again seem 0032...
