If you have cingular service you can go to www.mywirelesswindow.com to get mp3 ringtones. If you have not done this before you will need to register with the site first. Also, make sure that you have wireless internet express service activated on your account. You will need this in order to download the ringtones.

I still don't see how to get Mp3 ringtones from Mywirelesswindow.com. I have tried programs like ToneThis and Xingtone but none of them support the v400 yet, but if mywirelesswindow works, please lemme know how.

When you log in to mywirelesswindow, click on ringtones and more on the left side of the screen.Make sure that you have the motorola v400 as the selected phone. the very first tab that pops up says "music tones" these are mp3 ringtones...

What about if I have my own mp3s I would like to have on my phone? where do I go to do that?

My suggestion would be to see if its possible to transfer mp3s to the phone using the data cable. Ive never seen a site where you can upload and send MP3s to your phone. Also, if you try the data cable method, make sure that the mp3s you are trying to get on your phone aren't full songs, but small clips of them. A full mp3 song wouldn't fit in the phones shared memory (5MB)

hey man. A buddy of mine turned me on to this great site. www.mototone.co.uk Its a pretty suite deal you are looking at $3.50 a month for unlimited downloads. They probably have a few hundred songs to download along with quite a few games.
There is also a forum were you can request songs that you want on the site. I was pretty impressed when the posted a few of my requests in less than 24 hours.
