Xperia phones in the past have been bad, really bad examples of high end devices. Because of the software mostly. Regardless of this, I have to agree with you this time because I've tried the Xperia Z and it is a really good phone. Less intrusive user interface, maybe not as feature rich as HTC's or Samsung's high end devices, but definetly a really good phone.
It'd be my smartphone of choice, especially because I like to travel a lot on my motorcycle and I get wet by rain every so often (I live in a tropical country in Central America), I find a lot of beautiful places that are worth a picture. The camera's very good (unlike the Optimus G's and GS4's 13MP shoters, that are just so-so)

hey Riot, you know Id take the sharp edges and bad construction that the review mentions, but I cant have bad call or call volume quality, that's crossing a line in the sand for me. Sony, team up with Motorola for a good phone, and we'll have us a WINNER. But this one, the ZL, aint ready for prime time. Guess that's why Sony has them on sale for $569 right now.
