CONFLICTED... EVO LTE Now or iPhone 5 Later?

I LOVE my EVO and the EVO LTE looks like a huge upgrade to my current device. For a phone that has hit its 2nd birthday since its release it is STILL a relevant phone spec wise and has stood up to my abuse over the past 24 months.

I have been eligible for an upgrade for quite a while now and my EVO is finally starting to show its age. The EVO LTE is available NOW but the leaked specs on a pending iPhone 5 or New iPhone whatever it will be marketed as look really tempting.

There are some drawbacks to Android that make me grumble but iOS is so incredibly proprietary locked down.

Hi there!

I too had an Evo for 18 months and just upgrade to my Evo 4G LTE this past Monday night. I also have an Samsung Galaxy S 4G on Verizon from work. I have to say that HTC has done a great job with ICS and I enjoy my Evo 4G more than the Galaxy S 4G. Granted no LTE yet with the Evo, I have yet to drop below 4 bars of 3G connectivity in the SF Bay Area with my Evo 4G. Personally, I'm not a fan of iOS and iPhones and have only owned an 3GS for 5 months as I wasn't a fan of the locked down of the device Apple puts upon the product. I personally see the choice between Android and iOS as a trend choice and that is quickly fading away as Android continues to grow in leaps and bounds.
