WAV sounds for ring tones

Discovered a simple way to get my own music as a ringtone using Windows' Sound Recorder application:

1) Connect a music source to microphone input or line-in on your pc. An ipod or mp3 player works great. You'll probably need a 3.5mm-3.5mm cable from your headphone output to PC input. (Note - be sure to choose the correct source input for your PC, see 2f below)

2) Open Sound Recorder and prep it for recording as follows:
a)Select File/Properties then 'Convert Now' button
b)In 'Sound Selection' window, choose:
Format: PCM
Attributes: 22050kHz,16 Bit,Stereo 86kb/sec
c)Click 'Save As' to save this setting for later use, you can name it anything you want
d)Click 'OK' and 'OK' again to close
e)Select Edit/Audio Pr...
