Motorola i730 / i733 / i710 / i720 / i740
I NEED AN ANSWER!
Alright guys...
I've always been true to verizon, but now more and more of my friends are getting nextel and my contract with verizon is expiring soon.
I've always been a fan of nextel except two factors, and they are important factors.
1. Horrible reception, none of my friends nextels work in my basement, obviously i need the phone to work at my own house.
2. Atrocious sound quality from the speaker, i have never heard worse garble coming out of a cell phone in my life.
SO.. I need to know, did nextel fix these issues with the i730? Can you actually understand what people are saying, and is reception better overall?

honestly, what you wrote up top makes no sense,, how could you be a fan of nextel if you think they have horrible reception?? its not the phone that makes good reception, its the company,, nextel works fine in my basement and every where i go in MASS,, the speaker phone on nextel phones is clear as a bell, otherwise FBI and government agents wouldnt use it for their primary communication service,, verizon service isnt that great,, besides the fact they are the largest cell phone company makes no difference,, if u feel you wont get your money's worth with nextel then stick with verizon so we dont have another complainer,,

you know i feel that you should not go with nextel. i just got rid of them becasue i did a tranfer of ownership that was supposed to take 4-7 days. guess how long it took. 20 freekin days! thats becasue no one at customer service knew what was going on. Also there phones suck and plans are extreamly expensive. i have had verizon through my work for a year and its worked better than nextel. so thats who i switched to. Also verizon now has PUSH TO TALK like NEXTEL but is is way better!

I am a Nextel dealer, and the experience I have had with the Verizon Push to Talk is not very good. Just be careful and listen to the salesperson when they talk about roaming. When you are roaming with Verizon, the walkie talkie feature will not work. Don't get me wrong, they have great cellular coverage, but there walkie talkie is no where as good as Nextel's.
