Would anyone know if I can purchase the Treo600 from the UK and use it with a new T-Mobile account? It's selling for much cheaper there and would like to avoid paying $500 now vs. waiting a year or the price to drop.

I am trying to decide if I should wait until the supposed Treo 610 (with Bluetooth) comes out, get the Sony Ericsson P900, or the MDA II (also knowns as O2's XDA II. Both the P900 and MDA II have bluetooth(a major deciding factor for me since I have a Nokia 3650 now and 3 different headsets) but I know there are more programs avail for Palm than Symbian and Pocket PC. Has anyone had the opportunity to use any of these and have an opinion of what is the best unit? Size, bluetooth, memory, features and compatibility are what is driving me decision. I've even considered buying a Moto V600 and Palm Tungtsen T3 but it seems like a step backwards(2 devices). Help! I don't know what to do and I'm getting impatient. Also, I have an idea for a design...

Hello,

What's your idea, I might be able to help you.

I'm also interested in discussing your phone options. I'm in the same situation you're in. I just bought the T3 and was thinking I'd pick up the V600 when it comes out in my area. However, I'm having buyer's remorse so I'm rethinking my plan. I've decided on the Palm platform because of all the programs that are available. Let's discuss.

Aren't you worried about using Bluetooth with a PDA? There are enough tools out there for script kiddies to hack into a phone via Bluetooth. The technique is called "bluesnarfing" and is relatively easy to do. Imagine the damage someone could do with access to your PDA. Don't store any information you wouldn't like to see out there in your PDA phone if you use Bluetooth.

Here is the supporting link for more information: http://news.zdnet.co.uk/communications/wirele ss/0,39020348,39145881,00.htm

It remains to be seen if the Treo 610 will be vulnerable....
