ZTE Z990 to vista
When I plug my ZTE Z990 into the usb port on this laptop, I cannot find the phone with the computer. When I go into device manager, the computer has added a generic usb storage device and also a samsung television set. Neither one of these items are listed as working properly in the device manager page.
How can I tell my laptop that only the generic storage device really exists and make the phone connect to the laptop?

Normally when you plug an android phone into the computer via USB, you will get a dialog on the phone screen with what mode to use. Make sure you're choosing "mass storage" and not "Tethering"
