That android slabs are for the most part on an even playing field. Minus subtle and a few not so subtle hardware designs and specs. I've never needed a phone that everyone talked about, but have to admit. The 3D seems to be lacking serious interest vs the original EVO's announcement. Are our phones just advancing to quickly for anyone to care? Interest on a device drives OEMS and Dev's to create and mfg options galore. The lack of fan fare has me worried that the 3D will be just another slab that falls through the cracks with no real interest. Meaning little to no updates or support. Am I crazy or does anyone feel the same way?

My guess is that most of the people that would have gone crazy over this phone are happy with their Evo's along with quite possibly not being available for upgrades for a whole other year.

I really want to be an advocate for the phone so that I can try it out and get it for free at the same time. If I was in the position where most people are and have to pay for the phone then I'm in no hurry at all, my Evo works just fine.
