Does Verizon Wireless offer insurance on the iPhone or do you get it from Apple? I went to the store Thursday. I saw the different protection packages for the iPhone ranging from $70. to %100.

VZW answered my email about iPhone insurance. Smile This was the response:

It's funny that they don't tell you what the deductible is that Asurion charges if you file a claim - $169 for a 16GB unit, and $189 for a 32GB unit. Surprised As if the insurance isn't expensive enough! Mad

Get the phone at Best Buy and enroll in Geek Squad Black Tie Protection. $14.99/mo premium, ZERO deductible, unlimited amount of claims per year, one-time battery replacement. Only thing it doesn't cover that Asurion does is lost or stolen.

And they'll give you a loaner phone if yours has to go in for service.
