I'm trying to decide between two lg phones, the vx-4400b, and the vx-4500 which is supposed to be released at the end of the month. my main goal is to have a phone and service with clarity and quality. i like gadgets and features, but i don't particularly want a camera phone. the main difference i see between these two phones is the 4500 has a speaker-phone, and the 4400 is tri-mode. i live and spend most of my time in new york metro area, but i do some traveling to secluded parts of new england in the summers. how important is it to have tri-mode? and does anyone have any other suggestions on which phone i should get? i'm switching from sprint to verizon.

According to one of the reps at the Peabody MA (20 miles S of the NH border) VZW store, PLENTY. We chatted her up the other night, and that's the very point she brought up: there are MANY areas of NH, VT, and ME that are still analog.

Take that with a grain.......
