i mean i may be off base but i was under the impression that this phone would also be a 4g? while i know that verizon will continue to be offering 3g but i mean isnt this supposed to be a 4g phone? if it isnt a 4g phone that makes me worry that the rumored droid x2 will really be just a 3g phone Crying or Very sad

It's 3G only. How sad.

If it were 4G, it would be a larger phone. It would be the Thunderbolt. What's the point in that? Not to mention, they haven't come out with a 3G phone for Verizon in forever, so it was needed. Some of us won't be getting 4G anytime soon (in the next year even), and are tired of the phone we have now. I have the Moto Droid original and I, for one, am thrilled to have a new option. Smile

i personally don't mind not having 4g. 4g = battery consumption. better processor = battery consumption. this phone's not all that bad in my book. Wink

DONT GET CAUGHT IN THE HYPE.....4G will be awesome, but it is not ready yet!!!!

Why do you think the TB was delayed (Battery consumption)?
Why do you think the BIONIC is pushed back (Battery and Dual Core is overheating)?
Why do you think the Droid Charge was delayed on 4/28 (hmmm...oh yeah battery)?

****Guess what its still not fixed****

Dual Core and 4G will be great!! But the phones cant handle it....Unless you have a Charger all day or a extended battery that makes your phone look pregnant and doesnt fit in your pocket, so you wear a fanny pack, hold off....

Hopefully the Bionics 1900 battery will help, but I am with most of you...the I2 looks appealing!!!!
