notification sounds vs ringtones
if i download a ringtone from zedge (or anywhere for that matter) it ends up in my ringtones folder, and ultimately the sound settings gives me the option to make that file a ringtone. but when i go into notification settings for messages- or to be more specific, handcent's notification settings- i can an entirely different set of ringtones- none of which are my downloads. any ideas?

Have you figured anything out? Ihave a ringtones I want for my sms notifications and a different one for e-mail but don't know how to do that.

You can use an app called Rings extended. It will let you assign any sound to any notification
