android update avail??
was curious if this phone has gotten any updates from android? might need iden for work; was hoping...

My phone told me there was an update for it today. I was very excited that I was finally getting a newer version of the Android OS as version 1.5 isn't cutting it. There are allot of apps I want to run that doesn't run on 1.5.
Will it be 1.6, will it be 2.1, will it be 3.0???!!! The suspense is killing me!
The update finished and to my surprise, it is still running 1.5?! What did the update do? I did notice that there is and boot-up and shutdown sound now. It also cleared my icons from my desktop. There is also a build number now where before it said 'Unknown'.
Anyone have any insight on this?

Well I did some research and apparently this is only a Maintenance Release. See below for more information.

- Consistently delete emails from trash folder
- Pattern lock (keypad lock) as password for Exchange policy.
- Presented with Gmail login screen when selecting "Forgot Pattern" after an incorrect pattern...
