T-Mobile V600 Phone Book

Just picked up a V600 from my local T-Mobile reseller, and for some reason I can't seem to get the address book to behave the way I would expect.

I've read the numerous posts about the address book, but it sounds like changing the view to "Primary Contacts" would get it to how I would like it (aka not having an entry for each individual number).

When I change the view option in the Phonebook Setup to "Primary Contacts" my listing does not change (people with multiple numbers are sill listed twice). In fact, there is no "Set Primary" option on the menu when I select an entry in the phonebook (per the manual on page 76).

I know that T-mobile made quite a few changes to the software (to fix bugs), but I wonder if this feature got brok...

Hah - Sorry to answer my own question...

I think I figured it out, if you store it to the phone (as opposed to the SIM), you get all the extra options.

First time with a GSM phone (I've been a Verizon customer for years) -- I'm assuming the SIM format has to be phone-agnostic, so you can move the SIM between phone manufacturers, so you don't get the multiple number and voice name features when you store the to SIM.

I guess I didn't read the manual throughly enough... (I would have expected some type of warning next to the features that require the number to be saved to the phone's memory).
