so i finally was able to transfer an mp3 from computer to phone via bluetooth...

i ripped a track from a cd using iTunes at the lowest bitrate possible so the final size of the file was around 250k

i then transferred the song to my phone via bluetooth

then when i try to play the song the phone says "TBS-RING corrupt file delete?"

any suggesitons?

i was able to successfully transfer some mp3's which i downloaded from the napoleon dynamite website but so far thats all...also i am using a PowerBook G4 if that helps...

I tried it with iTunes too (PB G4 & PowerMac G4) but they would not play on the V600.

Fortunately, I also have Peak 4.1 from Bias Inc. and it lets you save any bit rate, mono, etc. but its a pro application ($$$) I use for mixing audio tracks on video.

I think iTunes is adding too much meta-like data to the MP3 file the V600 can't deal with. Peak (and other audio editors) strip that junk from the file.

Wow- are those prices for real? That is amazimgly cheap and much easier unless you want to mess with custom stuff.

It's so much easier to create your own, but I wouldn't recommend putting the FULL MP3 on the phone as a ringtone. You should cut it down to 20-30 seconds. Check out my website if you want to learn more...

It was created for the v400, but it will work the same for the v600.
