Eureka !!!!

Someone else who actually knows what I'm talking about.

Good evening to you. I have just found this site and registered. I purchased the V600 from 02 Online in April this year. After about a month of having the phone I noticed a hairline crack that went across the facia of the phone. This was replaced by 02 even though it was out of its 28 day refund (mainly due to me kicking up a stink when they originally said no)

After having the replacement for just under a month, exactly the same happened again. A crack appeared across the front, just above the camera lens. Now upon closer inspection I could tell that when the front was open, if it was pressed to hard against the ear, there appeared to be too much pressure. This in ...

Ah James,

Some across the pond having the same problem we here in the colonies are having....This phone is garbage.

As I mentioned in my other threads, this forum is probably 70 or so pages of threads with nothing but drama about this phone.

I've read about people resorting to scotch tape to be placed on that pressure point where the black bezel cracks....what is this art class....give me a break. It's a phone. Yes not meant to be rough housed and thrown around, but please due to usual use it cracks???

Wait until the camera decides to crap out on your or the software freezes....

GOOD LUCK CHAP AS WE ALL (V600 owners)NEED!!!

Oh believe me, I've only had the phone for a short period and I've experienced the problem with the s/ware freezing, and then the phone just doing what it damn well likes.

I like the way the phone looks, however it is just the occasional crashing and the above design fault that makes me wonder why these phones durability were not tested more. Unless there's a proven improvement, I shall certainly be changing when my contracts up.

I was the first of my mates to get this phone, however I believe I wisely advised against it to my mates, and they are very happy with their alternatives.

Regards James

Yeah the phone looks great, but so does a Sony Ericsson K700 now....or even a Samsung E715.

I still can't get over how many pages of threads there are for a piece of crap like this......

Cheers.

I agree. I've been away from this forum since the phone's release. It's amazing that the conversations are all the same. Cracks, chips, software bugs, imaginary release dates.. It's like a broken record on here. I'm on my 3rd replacement now. The silver border around the black face of my phone is cracking once again and there is now another hairline crack going from the right side, passed the mirror all the way to the lense. And I get jumbled text on the outer screen somtimes and when I open it th...

The truth behind all of this is that it probably will not turn for the better. The quality problems experienced by many phone manufacurers is rooted in an increasing preassure on time to market. New designs, new functions, new interfaces must come out with a ridiculuos speed to keep the consumers happy.

If, and only if, you have a proper testing methodology in place, will you be able to have proper stability in your products. In this particular field, Motorola has been critisized for as long as I can remember. In an international telecommunications conference at the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) this year, Motorola was pointed out together with Siemens as the two companies with poorest quality in their phones, bot...

Moto Vxxx; still beta testing on the customer, IMO. Actually, that's way too kind. Reality is far worse. Serious bugs late into production, with no apparent intent to fix anything -- that's both S/W amd H/W. V500/525, these phones have cost me a lot of money and returned consistently unacceptable poor performance. V600 S/W has been as bad or worse, and one look at the V600 next to any of the above shows the 600 to be way physically inferior as well. Sadly, the only version of these phones that seem to work even halfway well is the basic V300.

Bottom line -- several hundred dollars lost: back to Nokia 6100 & 6600 for bluetooth as the current suite. That's for T-Mobile US and rest of world GSM. Don't know what you poor folk who need AT&T an...
