loading themes? pictures?
i've found various themes and pictures on the web, but any ideas on how to get them loaded onto the phone? just wondering what software to use with the cable.

Use the Motorola Mobile Phone Tools that came with your Plemix. Once it is loaded and running, choose "Multimedia" from the pop out menu on the right side and it should be self explanatory.

yeah. silly me didn't look much at MTP because i don't plan on syncing my phone with my PC.

This method does NOT work with the AT&T version. I have justdiscovered this after 3 months, so now I must have it 'unlocked' just to be able to do what the phone is advertised as doing. I'm not a lawyer, but this is starting to piss me off! Is that illegal for ATT to do? to FORCE me to pay for putting on the phone which can essentially be done for free with MPT? The interface shows up in MPT but then all menus on the phone are greyed out when trying to load items onto the phone!! 👿

I just moved new sounds and pix over to the phone from my laptop using bluetooth.
I got my wallpaper from some gifs I had stored on my PDA (it's also bluetooth). I'm not a bluetooth geek - it's just a coincidence that my pda has it, and I originally bought a bluetooth adapter for my laptop to be able to utilize it on my pda. I never expected that 18 months later I was going to have a phone with bluetooth on it also.
I never thought about changing themes, but at least the wallpaper is mine.
Since I have 3 phones in the family, I was able to move sounds, gifs, etc. from phone to phone pretty easily.

I can do that as well. I can throw rigtones and photos onto the phone via bluetooh. I have an Apple powerbook and the bluetooth works flawlessly, but AT&T has locked the ability to load pre-built themes (with extension .mtf) of any kind, even through the phone tools software. This means additional ringtones, colors and wallpapers that perform as a set! They want to force you to download their crappy themes from 'mmode'. I'm sending it to be unlocked Monday and should have it back by Thursday and will post my results then. 😁
