V600 Problems

So I just got my V600 and already I've had two different problems with it.

The very first day I got my phone I noticed that the side volume button didn't work. So I took it back to the store I got it from and they gave me a new one.

Now about 9 days later the speaker on the phone just stopped working. So while I can still hear calls through the ear piece I can no longer hear when my phone rings!!!

What's going on? Has anybody had these problems? I don't abuse my phone or anything, there's not a scratch on it, I've never spilled a drop of anything on it.

I'm starting to loose hope of finding a V600 that actually works for me. Any sugggestions on what to do next?

From many reports it appears there were different build lots at possibly different locations and some are junk while others are not too bad.

Some LCDs were dim and yellow while others were bright, white and very sharp. Some people report all sorts of seemingly firmware issues that are probably hardware problems due to out of spec components causing resets or scren blanking, etc.

If you get a good one it should last for a year or more of good use. Finding that one will require the use of the manufacturer's warranty.
