Considering the "deadness" of this forum, one would think nobody has the device anymore. Surprised

One will also not buy a 9550 after 10/10/10. Thats it...kaput date! This is confirmed by VZW spreadsheet sources!

Verizon is flying the Android flag and has no replacement for the Storm2. RIM has not totally scrapped Sure Press, and a Storm3 might follow in April with a new OS and an LTE platform. Funny thing though. The 9550 is not that bad. The way I have it equipped, I'd rather have a device that I know, performs well, and does not require starting all over again from point A with the next generation planned to become obsolete in short order dumb (smart) phone. Who the hell has the time for this nonsense anyway?..... Rolling Eyes

Android is hot, RIM is still having good quarters and I am passing on 2.5 in hopes of having an LTE phone.
The 9550 phone is not that bad of a workhorse, but man...in the phone world these things are outdated before you can finish a game of Brick Breaker Laughing

They finally updated and produced a working copy of "Super Baby Go" to cure boredom with my kids, so I have to stick this one out Laughing

You will see an LTE Storm3 with Sure Press in April with its own OS! 5MP Camera, 1Gb on board with 512 app memory. I have 4 new batteries, 5 themes, a mountain of apps, & a Storms2 that actually works better than the original which performed best when it was off. I'm staying with it....no updates, no messing around with it, no nothing. The Storm Sufferer will survive without Android, Iphone, Torch, or any of the other crap they come out with until LTE arrives & "sweeps me away! And I wrote this post on my Storm...without a crash or lockup!

And one non-endearing feature. Those emails, other than Gmail, come in a few minutes after they hit the desktop. Now, if they can emulate BB with the push, the most loyal of CrackBerry addicts, some of whom are you and me, will have a dilemma! With all those larger screens and higher resolution units out there for the asking, why do Storm Sufferers continue to Suffer? Until then, Sure Press is the game in town. Oh whoa is us! Crying or Very sad

Here's a question for you. When will they develop a device that has everything??? And when will RIM wake up? Rolling Eyes
