My standard response would be what are you intending on using the phone for? Both have their strengths and weaknesses.

Well I had the BB Curve then I switched to the Pre when it came out, once I found out like a week later literally that Sprint was dropping the Tour I took the Pre back. It was hard because thats a good phone but once you get hooked to a BB its very hard to switch to anything else. If Sprint wasn't coming out with the Tour I would've kept the Pre in a heart beat. I just missed features on BB that the Pre didnt have.

I also had the Curve then switched to the Pre, i was not happy with Pre, maybe it was the lack of applications. So I returned the Pre and will be getting the Tour. I just love my Blackberry

Couldn't agree with you more brotha. Seeing that the Tour was dropping had to take my Pre back but that was after I shut down a few Iphone 3G users.

Is WiFi important to you?
BB on CDMA doesn't have it yet, not even Tour.

I would agree with that. My Mogul had WiFi and I never ever used the WiFi on it..

No way would I go back to BB.
Few reasons.
1) The internet.. its abhorrent on the BB browser.. its slow, lacks features like flash lite and real formatting.
2) Downloads. My pre has 8 gigs of storage, the tour will have 256mb.. thats enough reason in and of itself to see that a) the tour will never have the full featured application capability that something like the iPhone or Pre does and b) it will eat up that storage the more stuff you DL to it.
3) The freshness. WebOS is new and fun, BB os is old, stodgy and out of date.

Yea, the BB has more customization features, but Im confident to wait for those things on the Pre.
The BB is much more durable.. no question about it.. Im just gonna have to be careful w my pre.

I agree with you somewhat. I had the Curve and LOVED it to death. Here is my take on the pros and cons of Pre vs. BB/Curve:

1. Curve has better keyboard. When I switched to Pre it was a bit of a learning curve with the keyboard, being a bit smaller and the front slider kind of annoys me because my thumbs will hit it when I type. So I can't type as fast on the Pre, but the other features on Pre make that tolerable and I think I will get better with time.
2. Curve has great customization of notifications while Pre is lacking. But I think Pre will get this soon w/software update.
3. Pre has 8gb memory and this makes a BIG difference for applications. I probably had about 10-12 apps on my Curve including Twitterberry and that thing would fr...

Well both of the phones do exactly the same freaking thing.

On the Tour (that you don't get with the Pre):
The user interface is going to be faster because it's not touch.

You get blackberry messenger.

More options for different email servers. (The Pre isn't coming out with a fix for this issue where hotmail and msn email accounts overheat the battery until December!)

Touch is fun, but lets face it, a trackball was genius by Blackberry. 😁

The Tour does VIDEO, the Pre does not.

On the Pre (that's not on the Pro):

Has the amazing *SYNERGY* -- NO other phone that I know of does this.

The web OS is amazing and simple... this phone is so user friendly it's not even funny.

Applications are being developed for it as we...
