Ok i have this phone. Right now i am not happy with the T9 texting at all on this thing. When there isnt a word in its vocabulary u can usually add them. On every other phone i have had you can, by just spelling it out and boom it was in its vocab. This phone i do that and then i go to type it and its not in its vocab?? am i doing something wrong?? this makes me wanna return the phone.

On my LG 8350 I have to switch to ABC to record a Word into memory. Perhaps the Touch works the same way.

That's correct, it does work on the Touch that way. Just type the new word in via ABC mode and send the msg. That word will then be saved into the T9 dictionary. 🙂

It's been my experience w/this phone that switching from T9 to ABC will, in fact, put the word into the phone, however I've noticed the word doesn't STAY in the phone. Seems to be in a temporary cache or something.

Have you had success getting words to stay in the dictionary for more than a day ?

If so, what are the precise key strokes, ie Abc, type word, hit space, then go back to T9, or Abc, type word, don't hit space before going back to T9?

I just want to understand the question. I got the phone when it came out also. Are you refering to the t9 for example: the word Home and Good is the same key strokes however good displays on the screen first but to see the work home on the screen you need to tap the next on the key pad to change the word. it will recyle thru its memory of words with the same key strokes. Hope this helps for your question.
