6340i + Missouri

Does anyone out there live in southern Missouri and have this phone under a Cingular GAIT plan? I'm currently under a TDMA plan and would like to upgrade but don't want to make a big mistake just for the sake of "wanting to do something", if you know what I mean.

I figure if you live in s. Missouri, you know what I mean about signal one minute, static the next, and dropped calls to follow. My TDMA 5160 phone is ancient but a good warrior. Does the 6340i measure up? I've read the user comments, but I'm just looking for someone close to home that may have experience with it.

My mother has this phone with a GAIT plan from Cingular down here in southern Missouri. She doesn't have that many problems with signal. There are a couple dead spots, but as far as dropped calls go, she hasn't had very many problems.
As far as the phone itself goes, she doesnt' really care for it. The on/off button on the top has a bad habit of getting pushed. But as this is the only phone Cingular claims you can use on a GAIT plan, she's stuck with it for another year before she can upgrade unless she wants to buy another phone. (They conveniently forgot to tell her this when she signed up, but that is another story.)
