isn't this an AMOLED screen or did that change from pre-release?

thats a new tech. shouldn't it be on the specs for the phone?

also under decent usage I got 48 hours of the phone, 2 10 min phone calls, 100 text (incoming plus outgoing), also outside of 3g coverage and plenty of sleep mode. Not bad.

Very happy with phone 😎

AMOLED = OLED

It's in the specs.

AMOLED is a strange abbreviation. Almost any OLED used as a main display is technically AMOLED, but it's usually just called OLED. I don't know why Samsung is calling it that in this case.

It is a relatively new tech, but not brand new. Nokia has had (AM)OLED phones since late 2007:

Thanks for the clarification.

Rich I was wrong to doubt phonescoop. "My source for the only news you need to know." 😎
