I decided to try the storm after speaking to several verizon customer service personal and they love it. All of them said it is way better than the dare so I am hoping I will feel the same, anyone have any info on the storm.
...
This is Verizon's Flagship phone.
Lots of great info can be found at www.crackberry.com

im getting the storm on the 21st when it launches!!!!! so exited

Mine is set to go as well. I already have two charging pods and a leather holster. Mine is already in a box with my name on it. Come on Friday!
...
If your going to a store...get there EARLY! Most stores are going to open regular hours at 9am but if the line gets large they will be opening early. There is a limited amount of Storms out...my locations will be sold out by Saturday if not Friday... I just hope more come in soon cause there isnt going to be enough to go around.
...
I will be there when my store opens at 7pm but mine is reserved. I am friends with one of the store managers and they went ahead and held one for me. :-)
...
nice. Its not what you know sometimes, its WHO you know! 😛
...
Oh yeah. I little kindness goes a long way with people. I was in the store yesterday and there was a couple in there just bitchin' out the clerk because he could not sell them the Storm right then. They went on and on for 10 min insulting the Rep and Verizon and then ultimately the Store Manager. Then, in almost the same breath, asked if the Rep would do them a favor and reserve them two... HA.. It was hysterical. The Rep said they weren't allowed to do that, but that they opened at 7am and if they were in line early, they had a good chance of getting one.
Then, I swear to God, the woman said, "I'm not standing out in the damn cold at 7am for some STUPID cell phone"... Man, I am so glad I don't work in retail.
...
haha wow, i've got some stories as bad as that, but that ones pretty good. retail can be a pain sometimes, some people are just ridicolous when it comes to the dumbest things. i'm sure getting tired of it quicker and quicker.

I think RIM made a huge mistake giving this phone 2 verizon the evdo rev a data is so slow!! The bold for att is way faster. Vzw has great marketing calling evdo rev a "3g" which its not actually a third generation..But all you people fall for this garbage... GSM HSDPA is the now and the future... CDMA evdo rev a is trash.
...
I wouldn't know that at&t even had 3G except for the annoying ads they run. 🤣
...
u under estimate the power of the 3jihad 👿 Until sum1 figures out how 2 unlock this phone and only use its gsm capabilities it will absolutly suck..Ive used it and my blackberry curve is faster on the edge network which is 2g.
...
HAHAHAHAHA!
mr. Al Kadwzaja or w/e, EVDO REV A is almost as fast as HSDPA, Rev B IS faster, which Verizon IS going to be upgrading too until LTE comes out in 09-10.
AT&Ts LTE to be out oo in 12-13?
...
Having used a BB Curve on both VZW and at&t, I can say that the BB Curve on VZW using EVDO Rev 0 was faster than at&t's EDGE data service.
I cannot compare it to at&t's 3G service because it does not exist where I live.
I guess having a limited 3G network makes it the fastest one, right? 😳
...
HAHA!
Rev A is not much slower then HSDPA..
and when so data test were done, Verizons came out the best, better then AT&T in A LOT of test.
AT&TS 3G is poorly set up.
...
good job! u have no idea what ur talking about.. GSM is far superior to cdma y do u think 90% of the world uses gsm.. HSDPA dwnload is 7 mbs evdo rev a is 1-2 mbs if ur lucky..and LTE is the so far behind already it dnt even matter
...
No phone company ever dared to claim GSM is better than CDMA. The reason GSM is used so much overseas is because people over there use that as their ONLY phone because not all areas have landlines, and GSM was so much cheaper to develop. The most advance cell phones are from Japan and they are WCDMA
...
just goes 2 show how stupid u people r... wcdma is umts which uses gsm thats how u get hsdpa.. wcdma and cdma r completely different technologies
...
If you read the definition WCDMA borrows ideas from CDMA chipsets. If you go on to NTT DOCOMO's tech site, you will see that all the advances in their evolution(they were tdma first, then built up to gsm, which is an advanced variant of tdma) are based on cdma.
...
That would most likely be because AT&T had no coverage! What else is new like T-Mobile let's brag about our coverage and do nothing to enhance the signal 850 mhz was a poor brag on the part of the childeran from Verizon. Go to Bed Kids it is time for the Parent to play.
