no, but there are other ways to back it up, such as active sync or wireless sync

I ended up typing all my contacts into my outlook address book. It took me a few hours .. but now everytime I sync my phone it updates. 😁

The Verizon tech showed us we can bluetooth contacts from our old phone over to the Omnia. Hope this helps!

Coincidentally, I used the bluetooth feature on my old phone, and trasferred it over. Its very easy to do, however pairing up both devices took some figuring out to do, but when that was over and done with, I was able to transfer 10 contacts at the same time...Very Helpful

A very good solution I found was Microsoft's My Phone. Very handy and it backs up more then just your contacts. Check it out. =)

If you have Outlook and use Active Sync, you'll find that process much better than Backup Assistant.
