Storm, IPhone 3G or Omnia, that is the question.......

Ok People, I played with an IPhone 3G at the ATT store in New Brunswick, NJ for about an hour. I must say that I was VERY impressed. The internet browser is second to none! The call quality was crystal clear. I do understand that I was in the store and not out on the dock at the summer home in Pt. Pleasant. The camera doesn't have a flash, but that is minor. The touch screen is great.

The Storm was good, but not great. The browser is good, but not quite like IPhone. The video screen was awesome to say the least. It looks like HD on a phone. I didn't care for the push typing though. I like the touch of the IPhone.

I will test the Omnia, before making a final decision.

Right now, the IPhone is in the lead. I would hate to leave VZW ...

As someone who lives in Ocean County, NJ, I have had no problems, and Pt. Pleasant is 3g.

Thank you Verseed, that is very important! Overall, how do you like your IPhone? I am hesitant to leave VZW, but I fell in love yesterday. 🙂

Only reason I don't have my iphone now is because I did not need a 5th line on my plan.

As far as porting, I'm not a big fan of leaving a carrier who works for you for a phone. If you are off contract, and really do like the iPhone, fine. BTW I live down in Toms River.

My contract expires on Dec 20th. I can leave VZW and not pay the fee. I have been told that with the new 3G network, ATT is a close 2nd and works fine in the NY/NJ metro area.
