is this a good choice?
contract is up with verizon. i was looking for a new phone. this looks like it might fit the bill. any advice would be appreciated. looking for something probably no bigger than this one, qwerty keyboard, and wi-fi are some main features i'm looking for. i don't want to have to get a data plan, but would like to be able to pick-up emails at wi-fi locations (is this even possible?) i'm old. any suggestions? thanks

You will to have a Data plan for this to work. I do believe you can get a plan around $15.00 that gives you the e-mail and text and pic. And if that will work for you check out the Dare or Voyager by Lg. There are a lot of others nice phones. Good luck.

this device requires a $30 min data plan, and can also take adv of wifi. otherwise like he said dare or voyager for $15-20 depending on plan. check out the new connect plan, only $10 more than select (unlim txt)

thanks jtalker. so are you saying that even though a phone has wifi, you can't pick up email at a wifi hotspot?
