Question on playing videos

Hi, sometimes when I am playing a video on my Iphone 3G, the video won't resize when I turn the screen from the horizontal position (long ways) to the vertical position. The video still plays in wide screen even if I am holding the phone upright. Is this a function of the phone?

No, You can't turn the phone vertically while watching videos on YouTube or on the iPod. It will keep playing it in widescreen format.

And why would you want to watch it vertically? The widescreen format is much better.
