text alert problem
i have tries to restore my iphone software through itunes but after about 10 incoming text messages the alert sound just won't go off anymore......anyone having this problem?
should i just take it to the apple genius bar and have them replace it?

I'm serious.... I exchanged my phone twice and a lot of text messages will not give a noise alert..... Is anyone hearing or experiencing this?

anyone know how long it will take apple to fix this problem? i'm seriously thinking about going back to verizon.....not hearing a text go off is kind of unforgivable

I haven't heard a text alert yet. Plus I haven't received 4 out 10 texts y yesterday alone the apple rep said of it keeps up call AT&T it on their end. I wouldn't think of going back to Verizon just for a simple error as this.

So your the one that put he how could apple forget to put the text message alert on the phone? Better question would be what did you do to turn it off? If you are going to submit a review in the review section do so don't submit something that should go in the forum section. Sorry you are having issues but maybe check in your settings to see if you turned that text messages off.

I just started having the same problem last night. I thought I was crazy for a little bit & just wasn't hearing the txt alert. I reset the phone and that seemed to help but from what I've been reading on other forums, that is just a temporary fix. Hopefully Apple will do something about this problem SOON!
