LG Swift AX-500

Problems with low volume on ringer

I just bought the phone from Alltel, it was $79.00. I used it today for the first time and noticed I can not hear it ring. Any idea what I can do to improve it. I am using the ring tones it came with and have tried several.
Any help would be so appreciated!
