On all of my old LG phones including my current one the 8300 i have been able to lock my keypad by pushing down the # key and holding it for 2 seconds. (i have a girlfriend that likes to visit my phone when i'm not looking) And all i have to do is punch in my 4 digit unlock code to use phone....on the Chocolate 3 phone the # key doesnt have that feature anylonger. How can you lock the keypad so phone cant be used? And what is the keypad lock for on side of phone? If all you have to do is hit that button to unlock phone anyone can use your phone.....am i missing something??

The lock on the side of the phone is used to lock or unlock the front display. That way when it's in your pocket you won't accidentally start the music player or something of that nature.

But that unlock button doesn't lock the whole phone. In order to do that you need to manually do so through the security settings and locking there.

I was disapointed that this feature isn't enabled like on my past phone (8300) but I can work with it. As it is, I hardly ever need to lock my phone.
