No preorders, ATT will unlock it for you but you have to have a friend with att let you put its serial number on their account to trick them into thinking someone actually giving them money wants it unlocked before they will do it. Once your friend with the ATT account gets it unlocked for you (by calling ATT customer service) they can put their own phone back on their account with minimal issues and you can use the bold on any GSM network. Some of the features might be limited, T-mobile tech support should be able to get most of them up and running for you though. Oh forgot to mention though, T-mobile is getting the 8220 which will basicly be the Bold generation of the Pearl. It will have all the major features of the Bold (WiFi, new OS, 2 mp camera, GPS, video recording, etc...) but it will have the Pearl keypad layout and be a flip form factor. That way if that intrests you you get all the same features but could get a discount through T-mobile and not have to go through the unlock process. I'm actually thinking about buying one of those from the T-mobile store in town and unlocking it for my wife to use with our ATT. She likes my BB but doesn't like that its not a flip phone.

I don't see why a similar process wouldn't work with bring an unlocked Bold onto TM, or vice versa the new Pearl Flip onto AT&T.
