Licorshot, I really am trying to find out some solid information because I cant see the numbers and letters on the Curve 8330 but i am hoping that the bold comes out before my 30 day trial is up because I love how the blackberry works and this is my first one. If the bold doesnt make it out in time i will be stuck with this Curve which is great but the display and the buttons look bigger on the bold so I am in a pinch for the bold to get here. Thank you

then u should return the 8330 because there is no SOLID date for release
i hear late august so that would be past the 30 days point

return it on the 29th day and then sign up for att and i bet that would give u time if he does come out in august

😳

The orginal release was planned for July, however you can see it just got its FCC ID TODAY.

I have been hearing rumors of late august/ early september.

I would definitely wait for this, in place of anything you may have! The resolution of the display has doubled since the version of the BB you've got-- so it should be noticably easier to read.

You do know there is a setting allowing you to change the system font & size on your current blackberry, right?

Smartwireless,

I can see the screen just fine it is the numbers you dial it is the keyboard.

Everone is telling me to get in line for the Iphone 3g but I am not sure i want that at all. I really like the looks of the bold.

Im at alltel now but my contract has been out and i have been on a month to month for a couple of months but I have to give the curve back and not have a phone at all.

Well that isnt going to work and I am switching to ATT for the Bold. I will have to take a phone on the 14th of july from AT&T and end my time with alltel becuase they are merging with Verizon they are pushing contracts.

So on Monday I need to get a phone so I am going to be screwed. I use the cell as my house phone too why have two phones ...

if you're not attached to the number, and you're really DEAD SET on the bold, get a go phone in the meantime. Then just get rid of it and sign a contract when the bold releases.

great Idea but

instead
go to wal-mart buy a go phone .... don't activate it
go to att sign up for service ... have them NOTE your account that u activated a 2 year deal but u DID NOT receive equipment .... once the BOLD releases u should be able to go back and get it for the deal and sign the real 2 year contract from that date .....

and i know for sure THAT WILL WORK

but make sure its a Corporate store and the person knows what they are doing ....

that is your BEST solution

yeah. We don't do that in the non-cor world...at least not as a general rule.

Sandy, I have the Curve (my 4th BB) and my son had the original iPhone. I'd add a caution on the iPhone after having a Curve or any other BB. Unless the keyboard on the new 3G iPhone is any different, it's horrible. The touchscreen keyboard resulted in lots of typing errors because the letters/numbers were so close together you couldn't help but hit the wrong one; you had to switch views back and forth to capitalize or add numbers; and it was a frustrating experience. The other features of the phone were great -- iPod player, weather, etc. I'd never give up my Curve (except for maybe a Bold) and have my daughter hooked too.

Best, Carol
