ringtones

I've read several questions about creating ringtones for my dare from music stored on my memory card but have had no luck doing so. One person stated that simply sending music via mms/pic message from your phone to itself and save it as a ringtone, BUT I can't seem to figure out how to select musci from my card & get it into a mms/pic message. I have been able to save a file from "my sounds" into ringtones by sending it to/from my phone but that's it. If anyone could please help I would greatly appreciate it!!

first you have to pick a file in the my sounds folder that's under 400kb. then send it to yourself and save as ringtone. some files will loose quality by doing it this way just to let you know.

if you have a memory card you have to put it in the computer or use usb mass storage in tools. then go to my_music folder and pull the song you want to the computer desktop. Then open up my sounds folder on the memory card and drop the song from desktop to that folder.

I've had the same problem with trying to move the song to a ringtone. I've saved the music to the memory card. Moved the song(s) from the memory card to phone memory, and now it's in my sound. So you're saying in need to put the song in a MMS message and text myself the song? Wow, what a format just for a ringtone. I had a Samsung unit a while back and had to jump through a few hoops to get the song to play as a ringtone. There has to be an easier way.

or you could bluetooth it to yourself, or send it from a computer to yourself, and save it, making it a lot less of a proccess for ya.

format you SD card before doing anything. Send your downsized ringtone to yourself via email. Open message on your phone once received, select "save as ringtone". The audio clip should be save and you should be able to use it as a ringtone and sound clip for other notifications.

look it is simple, you have a song on your computer...download a cutter and make a clip from it, then either bluetooth it, or just use the memory card and put it in your my sound folder(not music folder) then create a mms, select it from my sounds and send it...you are done

Yup, that is really easy as well, I have my phone already paired to my computer and I cut the songs before I use bitpim anyways so for me is super easy either way and I have experienced no quality loss they all sound super clear if i bt to sounds folder, I will save Tons of ringtones..like 40 of them. I send those to customers or friends anytime i want and if i get tired of a ringtone on my phone and I am running out of space i just delete the ringtone and mms myslef a new one from my my sounds folder anytime.

I want someone to figuere out flash games on the dare like they did the voyager...then i will fire up my bitpim

Just found THE easiest way to download custom ringtones to ANY verizon phone. Myxertones.com. Create a profile , then search their site for what you want. The site will ask you to send the tone to your phone but when you try it will prompt you to download it to your computer. Save the tone to your computer, then send it as an email attachment to your phone (your full 10 digit phone number@vzwpix.com). You will receive the tone in a pic mail which you can save to your sounds or directly as a ringtone.

nice site, lots to choose from. I don't like how you have to send them yourself a lot of sites send them for you. I hacve just been saving them straight to my memory card and then picture messaging them to myself
