Bluetooth issue

I currently use the Plantronics Voyager 510, and always thought it was excellent. It worked well on my 8300 and enV, but not so much on my Dare... people can hear me, but they say I sound like I'm fading in and out. After I heard this from the 3rd person, I knew it wasn't on their end.

I love my Dare and it works fantastic without bluetooth - I hear people, and they hear me fine. And I know my bluetooth works fine (with other phones). Unless there are other variables I'm not considering, the fault must lie with the Dare's bluetooth technology (or something like that). I'm within my 30 days and can easily exchange my phone for another brand new Dare, but like I said - everything about it works perfectly except this one thing.

Can you try the PV 510 on a different cell ph in the same area/room calling same number? That will at least narrow it down to the Dare or not...& you can always get a replacement Dare at that point...good luck! B. 🙂

My 510 works fine with Razrs, Krzr but clips the beginning and end of words on the Dare. VZN Cust Svc. has not heard of this issue. I just ordered a Jawbone to replace.

i have the jawbone and it works good. everyone can hear me. but i did notice the bt signal isnt as strong as on other phones i have owned. i think it was strongest on the moto q, i used it like literally 55 feet away! with the dare i might get 20, maybe. imo i think the bt radio on the dare isnt as strong as it could be, and thats probably why the battery is so damn good 🙂

hope this helps a lil bit

hello all,
Yea I had the same issue with LG Dare. I bought the Plantronics Explorer 310. But when I used it to talk to people, everyone said that they had hard time hearing me and it was like listening with old speaker phone. My voice would go in and out during the conversion. So I returned the bluetooth and I'm looking for a handsfree wired microphone. But even that is difficult because the Dare uses 3.5mm and that's not too popular. I'm not exactly sure why LG made this phone to have 3.5mm jack. Why not 2.5mm just like everything else.
