Upon visiting Verizon...my hands-on with the Glyde

I visited one of my local Verizon stores this past week to get a hands-on of the Glyde. The store did not have a model yet to show, but when I mentioned that I was there to see the phone the manager was nice enough to offer to show me his.

The phone had essentially not been touched or modified, something that told me that perhaps the phone was not actually his but perhaps the display model itself (security wall mounting yet to come.)

My personal impressions: the phone is, well, cute. It's a little beefy. Imagine if an iPhone had gone to college and gained the 'Freshman Fifteen'; the Glyde has a general potbelly compared to Apple's offering. The housing, while dark, will appear midnight blue in bright light. Accents are in a sort of po...

Oh, one more thing:

Full sensitivity for the touchscreen is super sensitive. Maybe I have a strong electromagnetic field, but it felt as if the Glyde performed button presses with my finger just barely hovering over the screen. (In fact this was similar to that of a Wacom pen over a tablet.)

I will opt instead to use 'Medium' setting.

Ya i dont think people know you can do this since everyone is complaining about how you have to press hard on the screen for it to work.

Yes, it was basically TOO sensitive for me on the high setting.
