I couldn't believe this but I might have a certain setting wrong on my phone, but when I type out a text it will only allow me 160 charecters! Thats hard to believe. Anyone else notice this? Can this be fixed?

Also, can anyone take video without having a memory card inserted? I can't! 🙄

160 characters is the limit on SMS messages. This has been the limit on every phone/carrier since the dawn of text messaging many years ago...

Well I know that. But what I'm saying is that every phone out there will allow more "Pages" after 160 characters. Like it would start over with the characters with another "page". Most phones will allow 7. 🙂

just send a second text...or tighten up your message.

Treo's have the same problem, I just had to be a little less wordy sometimes...or heaven forbid i actually have to make phone call, lol

Chris

Also, you can send an empty pix message...you can use 1000 characters with those...ive done that before as well

Try composing a picture message and this might give you more pages. Don't include a picture.

You have to have a memory card to send MMS msgs on a pearl. It would probably require one to do the video as well. The reason being is to prevent the phone from lagging by using the internal memory.
