I have read all of the pro's & con's that you have listed; however, as much as I like this phone, one of the most important features for me is syncing with my outlook calendar. Whats the word on this? Can the voyager deliver? I too am considering jumping ship(from VZ) and going the iphone. I currently have a treo 700.
right now I am in research mode....

You can sync to outlook using verizon wireless sync (more or less automatic but you need to leave an agent running on your PC, $20/mo) or manually using bitpim (free, see http://www.bitpim.org). I actually sync outlook to google calendar using funambol (see http://scheduleworld.com) and then sync google to the voyager using bitpim.

I am able to sync my contacts and calendar to and from the phone to Outlook just using a blue tooth adapter. Will the new software update disable this ability to do this?

The update doesn't change any bluetooth functionality that I know of. I can still send a calendar item from the phone to outlook, but I haven't tested everything.

Yes, you can sync using Outlook with a bluetooth adapter. I am just wondering if the software update disables this feature. I like the fact I do not have to use the backup assistant everytime I want to nackup my contacts

The best way to back up contacts, IMO is with bitpim (free, and also works over bluetooth).
