LG Voyager VX-10000
Oh well, it's going back
I can't hear it ring when I am outdoors and the phone is in my pocket. Doesn't matter what I do. I've tried my own ringtones, all of theirs and still I can't hear it. I have it set on high and vibrate. The vibrate is too weak to really alert you as well.
It's a shame. I had the original 9800 for a short time and don't ever remember that being a problem. I do remember wishing then as I do now that they had put the speakers on the outside.
In retrospect I wish Verizon had released the Prada version of this phone instead of the env.
he said he wanted to HEAR the rings (which I personally have no problem with.. custom ringers are loud for me..), not downgrade to a mono speaker that's quiet or too distorted. ;)
I've played with one of the iphones extensively.. even with custom ringers it's hard to hear the ringers and sometimes the music on the iphone... I dunno, maybe there's a trick to it.. but for what the iphone is supposed to do with all forms of multi-media... the single speaker was kinda weak in my experience.
anyway... sorry to see ya change devices... good luck on the next one donbp. I hear that the blackberry 8130 is pretty awesome.

I have had this phone since the day it came out. I can't find any faults with it all except one and that one has made me decide to return it.

I bearly hear it ring when in another room close by. Never had this problen with the ENV.
I never understood the reasoning behind having to open the phone for speakerphone either.
IMHO, this phone missed the mark on many counts. Too bad, it had great potential.

I agree. The only reason I have this phone is because it was an even exchange for my Samsung U740 as I had a repeated echo problem with that phone. So the Voyager cost me nothing and I am still not that pleased with it. I really miss the 740 that speaker phone was fantastic compared to the Voyager. I was able to hear any one of my ring tones fr...

they gave you a voayger for a 740!! Wow, That is a huge upgrade, i know you liked your 740 but I hate that phone and the cost is about $200 less. I would ebay your voayger go but a 740 and you would probably make a 100 in profit. I think your nuts but if that floats your boat.
Your right, I am nuts for signing another 2 year with Verizon earlier this year. If the Voyager had the volume level as the 740, I would be a happier camper.
