i thought id be a good person to give a full rundown about this phone for having it now for two weeks and coming from every lg phone/verizon phone from the lg700 up to the voyager and everything in between.

the bad....
never have i had a phone i had to charge during the day the 9900 battery lasted much longer.lg seems to have forgotten the basics on this phone like, a camera flash, i cant believe they would come out with a state of the art 600$ phone with no flash, my lg7000 had flash on it like 3 yrs ago. THE MP3 player does not play loud at all. i can barely here it over the crap they play at the gym, the 9900 mp3 player cranked. Many times the touch screen wont work i gotta tap it like 5 or 6 times. Also the load times for the video...

Ok, enough is enough! What were you expecting? I am getting tired of hearing the tired old reasons on why you don't like the Voyager. What I don't get is your reasoning.

I have to disagree with almost everything you say. The Voyager does everything well and many things very well. It's well docuemented by many respectable online reviews that it performs consistently well as a phone and mulitmedia device.
I will give you my run down on the Voyager.

1: Is the Voyager perfect....no.
2: Is the Voyager a good phone....very good.

Reasons: First off, I hear alot about the battery. What do you expect? This phone has more stuff going on then the average phone. Buy an extended battery and problem solved. The build is solid, scree...

ya i said the phone was good for all the reasons u did, i also said ive had every lg phone in the past, this phone was suppossed to satisfy every possible need, and it didn't i was just raising the question of why lg wouldnt include such primitave features, and ya i use the mobitv..etc.etc on it, the phone was 700$, i drop 700 bucks on a phone i want everything, i wanna stop the need to want more from a phone, i thought the voyager would do it and it didnt and for the stupidiest of all reasons, i was just trying to give anyone and everyone an unbiased opionion of the phone. im a technoluste and i was gonna buy it regardless, i just wanted other people like me to say"dont get so excited" thas all. why have a state of the art phone with such p...

700?? maybe that's why you don't like it you paid too much for it .... The phone was Only 200 for me and i got a 2GB sd card for 20 .... but i do think a lot of the bugs can be fixed thru software updates

I agree I LOVE this phone. Granted it may have its flaws but it seems to be and amzing phone. I haven't had any problem hearing mine at al and mine has a very steady attention grabbing vibrate. I know that it has its flaws and missing things like a flash but my 8300 had a flash and never used it. The only 2 complaints I have that I am sure will be updated in software is the touchscreen is sometimes dumb and the unlock in the lower corner takes a couple times before it unlocks which is a common problem from all ppl, the other problem is when you do use it for a lot it seems to get confused and will reset itself (only happened to me like 3 times since day it came out) but I know its a new phone its bound to have bugs...ALL in ALL a very good v...

I've had my new phone for a week now and LOVE it.

I could care less if there is a flash on the camera phone. I have some mighty fine cameras that has a sole purpose for taking photos.

My only beef with the phone is when it's closed the ring tone is not loud enough. Other than that I'm happy with it. If I wanted a "boom box" I'd get the optional external speakers OR a boom box 🙂

My daughter likes it too because she can use it to get online and check her myspace and email accounts if others are on the computers. I'd just gotten her a new juke which she's very satisfied with otherwise.

Finally, I live in Southern Indiana and ordered my phone online late evening December 3. Received my phone early morning December 5th. Ph...

Not sure what your issue is with battery life. I make several (5-10 @ 3-5 minutes each) phone calls, watch a little TV (10-15 minutes) and check email when out of the office several times a day (2 accounts, check 10 times daily, an spend a total of 15-20 minutes in replies). I can go 2 days without recharging (although I usually plug it in each night). I've never seen less than 2 power bars, and have never had to recharge during the day.

I've also found that the touch screen on the browser is much more repsonsive if you enlarge it to 125% or 150% if using your finger. Just a helpful hint; hope it helps.

You do understand that there is a separate tab for reviews, do you not? It helps keep the forum clear for tech support, pre-sales and other more time-sensitive queries. You should post this into reviews rather than forum. Everyone will be happier.

i thought u had to be like "in the industry" to leave a review like that i would hope so cause then any idiot would say anything about the phone. and im comparing the battery life to the existing phones ive had espicially the 9900 this is much, much worse i kno for a fact the phone would never last 2 days even with only moderate use. and i cant believe no one else has complained about the horridness of the mp3 player quality and volume, some things on the voyager are a complete step back in technology. and to the guy that said he only paid 200$ for it, whad u buy it off the back of a truck u cant even get it for less than 350$ with a contract/upgrade

ACtually, with tne new every two and an institutional discount, I only paid $150. In any case, perhaps you need a new battery? Mine definitely lasts two days with my usage as described. The MP3 sound is as good as my ipod shuffle with bud earphones which is good enough for me. Just goes to show, your mileage may vary.

umm...have you considered that you have a defective phone? my battery life lasts just fine and my mp3 player works really well. if you're so disappointed in the product maybe you should take it in and either have it looked at or return it...just a thought.

I purchased my Voyager on the first day they were available at the Verizon store. The price tag was $349 minus my NE2 $100 credit. Then $50 rebate. Final price tag $199. I really enjoy this phone, but can't believe anyone would be silly enough to pay $700 when it is available for much less.

Good review, but watch out some people get rather nasty when one tells the truth about something others are emotionally invested in.

what are you talking about? the voyager is 300 on contract and 470 without.. not even CLOSE to 560... unless you got it on ebay. in that case, it's your fault for not preordering it.. I preordered mine and got it the day of launch (verizon overnighted it the day before launch).

as for the card.. what do you want? you have 8 gigs of storage on a tiny card.. did you get a class six SDHC that's highspeed? maybe the cards a dud... do you have another card to use as a reference? and comparing an 8 gig card with a 2 gig card.. of COURSE it's going to run slower.. it's more storage crammed into a smaller space.

have you ever used a computer that just had a fresh install of windows.. then gone to a machine that had been used for a couple month...

To you I apologize for any name calling I may have engaged in. But Dream Boy and Bruce Fulton have shown their colors by continuing and engaging in constant childish behavior. You should see the posts of Dream whatever his name is that have been deleted by moderators.

Anyway...what's up with your post above? I think you put it in the wrong place!

Not a single name called save troll (which you finally admitted by daring someone to reply to your self-labeled bait) and fanboi (look it up). You've posted misleading, inaccurate information, trolled, baited and called people numerous names, thrown temper tantrums and posted over and over again that you have a grudge against verizon, their plans, their execs and their staff. You favor the iphone. There's an iphone forum, go there. There's nothing remotely childish about not letting hostile, inaccurate, intentionally misleading and highly biased postings go unchallenged. If you don't like to be challenged, stop posting crap.

if you want something to listen to in the gym.. with all of the people talking, the exercise machines going, the sound of your own breathing and heart beating in your ears.. maybe you should get a boom box. what did you expect? it's a mobile phone that has two VERY thin halves making it up... it's meant more for at home or office use.. that's why it's got a headphone port and stereo bluetooth.. do like everyone else and get a decent pair of headphones... do you really want to entertain the entire gym?

whada u retarded?, do u actually think i set the phone up next to bench press and work out like that, lol..im talking about with my vzw headphones, there is definatly a problem with the mp3 player volume. i know this because ...

u people are getttin the phone for 150...

$100 new every two discount plus a discount becuase of where I work (check it out, if you work for a large company with some institutional plans, you can get up to 25% off or more on hardware and accessories and 15% monthly discount on service). The phone is currently $300 before discounts or promotions at verizon stores. Except yes, I understand they're backordered a couple of weeks now.

It sounds like you need to see about a replacement, with my sony earbuds I use with my iphone and the 2.5 adapter, I have to turn it down from full volume, it's too loud. It could be your adapter (3.5mm to 2.5mm). If there is a problem with that, it could be causing your problems. I'd check that before getting...

"whada u retarded" LOL.. might wanna check that spelling before you go name-calling 😁

anyway...

No, I think that you didn't specify. You just said "i can barely here it over the crap they play at the gym, the 9900 mp3 player cranked.".

As for the volume, I have no idea what the issue might be. Get a single track, make sure the bitrate is 128k and test that out. Just for ****s-and-giggles.

Every touch screen device ever made (as far as I've seen anyway) has calibration... it should vastly improve the accuracy of your clicks:

Menu > Settings & Tools > Touch Settings > Calibration.

There are several other options in there for vibration type and level, the sound it makes when you touch the screen, etc.

Hope this helps yo...
