I'm wanting to upgrade my wifes phone to a HTC Tilt however Im unable to access her works OWA from INTERNET explorer like I can her HTC 8125. I tried a 8525 and it worked fine as well. When I type in the owa site the page for her username and password come up. After typing that in it goes to open the owa page. It never opens it and stays white. I also tried a Palm treo 750 and a Blackjack with the same results. Does anyone know whey the 8125,8525 would work fine and not the new Tilt?

Does your wife's office have an exchange server? That'd be a lot easier than using OWA.

I've never tried OWA, but the fact that the screen remains blank without giving an error seems to imply that it's a display problem (and not an access problem). I have a similar problem attempting to use a java applet that I use all the time, but in that case it's probably a JVM problem on the Tilt.

Sorry I can't be much more help.

Not sure on the exchange server. Do you use that a different way than just accessing owa over internet explorer? Maybe someone has the same problem and has solved it. Wonder if something is missing from the Tilt that was on the 8125 and 8525.

Yes it's different - accessing an Exchange server goes through the messaging apps on the phone and not through Internet Explorer.

In order to set it up you'd have to know your wife's account name and password (which are the same as she uses at work, though she might have to ask someone in I.T. what they were), and also the URL of the externally accessible Exchange server.

Once you have your phone talking to the Exchange server, you can set it up to use push email if you want. That eats your battery pretty aggressively, though, so I don't turn it on and just manually activate ActiveSync when I want to check my work email.

Thanks for the help Roadkill. I had it set up like that but she doesnt like the format. She wants it to come up on the phone like it does on her office PC. I wonder if opera would pull it up.
