IE View Menu on Verizon XV6900??

Selected full screen view when browsing and could not get out of it as the menu bar is not available. Even when you close everything it still comes up in full screen mode. Any ideas or am I an idiot? Just got the phone.

press and hold on the screen and you have the option to get it out of full screen mode
