ringtones for the q9m PLEASE HELP
okay so this has me lost, but whats the best way to get custom ringtones on this fone? Ive tried using mobile17.com website, and ive tried having it sent to me via mms. I really would like to know the best way to get ringtones. pelase help!

Install ActiveSync 4.5 on your home PC
and then use the data cable that came with your phone.
Then drag and drop MP3 files and or JPG files onto
the folder you want.
Those web sites are for phones that you cant access the phones memory any other way.
Not to mention they rip you off(the pay-for-it sites) and you can do this yourself very easily.

What is a good program to cut my mp3's to 30 to 15 sec. portions so i can use them as ring tones? Thanks

and search for an audio editing program called
Audacity, its free, it doesnt have any spyware.
and it works, Ive been using it for a while and love it.
read the read me file for it, you have to manually add in the mp3 encoding DLL file, but they tell you exactly what to do for it to work.
you can edit a ton of audio formats and chop them up, reverse them, add echos, whatever.
I made a nice Arnold schwarzenager ringtone of him saying "who is your daddy" and make it a ringtone.
