Sort of surprized that Motorola decided to go with naming it the ROKR, (which past ROKR's looked like the RIZR) when this phone obviously looks just like the PEBL. The PEBL was actually called the U6 as well. With the PEBL having a tremedous launch and high reputation still to this date, I'm a little confused on why they didn't just call it the PEBL 2.

Moto throws the ROKR label on all their "music optomized" handsets. At first this pretty much meant phones with 3.5 mm audio out, but they threw that out the window and call anything with a dedicated music launch button or dedicated playback controls a ROKR.

which is completely rediculous. there is and have been so many motorola's under then name ROKR. I believe the first one was release 2 and half years ago. They need to be more inovative with naming their phones. they can't just keep recycling the same names over and over (razr, krzr, rokr, etc). even with this phone, if you going to recycle a name, atleast keep it to the PEBL.
