Actually, 4GB has been tested and works fine:

For me it meant getting a new card reader, formatting it as FAT32, and putting on a Volume label to make it work.

The format option on the phone is only for FAT32 which has a 2GB limit.

I am thinking about switching from the voyager to this phone, can anyone tell me what they think. Is this the right move? Also, will the 4gb memory card work by just putting it in the phone? I have a lot of Pictures, Videos, and Music on my card and I don't want to loose it or buy a 2gb card. Thanks for your help.

SanDisk says the V9m will support up to 6GB. 8GB has been tried but there are issues:

I switched from the Voyager to the V9M. I had a E815 which I really loved but I wore it out. The one thing I hated about the E815 was the antenna.
Anyhow, after having the Voyager for about a month, I realized it was a VERY neat toy but really did not do well at what I wanted it to do........be a phone.....lol.
I have the V9M and absolutely LOVE the thing. Great "phone" and looks awesome. Speaker that I can actually hear. Texting is not a big issue, was easier with the qwerty keyboard on the Voyager but the V9M works well.
I can honestly say the web browsing with the Voyager was the biggest disappointment for me☹️
It reminded me of when I used to surf with a phone modem at 56kb...............NOT a good experience LOL. Screen way too ...

I have a normal 2 gig SanDisk micro sd card. My v9m sometimes sees it, but mostly doesn't. I can't figure out why. Does anyone else have this trouble? One minute it will recognize it, and the next minute it won't. Any ideas? Anyone else experience this? Thanks.

Works fine. I upgraded to an 8Gb SanDisk card about 2 weeks ago. I formatted it in my PC and an external reader is the only fast way to get songs onto it.

The SanDisk site said it would work so I bought it on their statement. Other things I read had me worried.
